Where do you go to Church and do they care?

I have been employed by various Churches. I have placed membership at various churches. Some of the Churches cared about me spiritually and others didn't. Some offered relationships for my family and I others didn't. Some saw talents in us and used them and others didn't. So, just curious, where do you go to Church and why do you go there. Are they meeting your needs? Do you have relationships? Community? Are they using your talents? How long would it be before someone knew you were gone? I have been to Churches to visit and the next week we get a glad you were here letter. I have missed 2 or 3 months at a church and never received a letter or phone call? Shouldn't Churches keep up with their members better than that? Should those who lead the church keep better track of those who go to their Churches? What has your experience been? What do you think? Share your thoughts.

I know my parents experienced that sort of thing over the last few decades. Some churches just have the infrastructure in place to address that sort of thing: visiting team, mailers, attentive preacher. I think that others can't because either the leaders are too strapped for time to devote much to any one particular, or members feel as though they don't know someone well enough to contact them.

"where do you go to Church?"
I do not go to church, I am a building block in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and we do not go to Church because we are the Church.

The Lord Jesus said, 'I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it', therefore it is the Lord Jesus Christ who builds His Church and not Tom, Dick and Harry, and we who are in Christ have fellowship with one and another and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all our sins.

The church of Tom, Dick and Harry are the ones who build their own churches and denominations, doctrines and creeds. They set themselves up as Pastors, Fathers and Bishops etc. over their flocks and as mediators between God and their congregations. They build a hierarchy of leaders around them to secure their positions and with lies and guilt trips steal 10% from the gross income of their congregations in order to buy for themselves bigger houses, cars and jet-planes. They separate their congregations from them and put them in pews while they themselves are elevated behind pulpits. They love to be greeted and addressed as pastor or any other titles of importance, always teaching their congregations so that they never come to the knowledge of the truth.

But in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ there is no hierarchy, or pastor, or pulpit, or pew and their pastor or Shepherd is the Lord Jesus Christ, and when two or three or more are gathered in His Name (Jesus) then the Lord Jesus is present in their midst to do and to will according to His good pleasure. Each believer is functioning according to his
gifting, some in songs, tongues, or interpretation of tongues, word of knowledge, encouragement, a word of wisdom, miracles, healing, prophecy etc. according to the leading Spirit of the Lord so that the whole Church is edified and built up in Christ Jesus our Lord and God.

If an assembly is in regular fellowship, by that I do not mean, once a week in the pew for one hour and perhaps a mid week meeting, no! By fellowship I mean, regular interaction with your brothers and sisters so that they know everything about you and you know everything about them just like open books read by all men.
In the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is no outcast, no neglected, no unimportant, no unloved etc. that is because Jesus Christ cares for each one of us and we are in Him loving our brothers and sisters which is His Church.

The modern day churches are not geared for fellowship.
They are organisations consisting of a hierarchy and the congregation, the hierarchy thinks of themselves as the elite Christians who always wants to be the teachers over you so that every Sunday you have to come to them to hear the Word of God.
They do that in order to have authority over you and bind you to the pew so that you submit to only their teachings.
They let you think that fellowship is 'going to church on Sunday'.

As it is with every organisation, a small group of leaders will always control you. You cannot function under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, you first you need their approval and consent, after all it's their church and not the Church of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please show me just one church denomination who is functioning according to the New Testament Church of the Lord Jesus Christ? Just one?

No one in the Church of Jesus Christ had pulpits or pews, and no on ever got dressed up in religious clothing, robes, turned around neck-collars etc. and liked to be addressed as 'Reverend, Pastor, Bishop, Father etc. and no one had a counselling office, signing a covenant or membership etc. NO ONE! No not even one!

How can you function and be lead by the Spirit of the Lord sitting in the pew??
In the pew you don't have a ministry, all you get is brain-washed. Well, perhaps that might be good for some of us who have very dirty brains.

William Huntington SS once said, "Instead being Shepherd of sheep they have become herdsman of goats."

I understand that your blogger name is preacherman. I don't know where in the bible it say's we go to church to have "our" needs met. I go to church to worship God. I do have many, many relationships but my relationship with God is the one I am most interested in. If I were to sit on the pew by myself and never have anyone talk to me, if I were worshiping God properly, I wouldn't have a problem. It's not a social scene. God set up church to worship him. When one starts going to church to have their needs met, it becomes a problem. When we give ourselves to God, we become his. We are not put on this earth to have a party. We are put on this earth to worship him, follow his word, sow the seed and preach the gospel.
